Calling in from her Los Angeles home, designer and stylist Rachel Zoe shared all of the details on her fragrance collection with our Instagram community – from the inspiration behind its creation to why she believes fragrance is the ultimate accessory.
How Fearless By Rachel Zoe Was Created
When asked about the inspiration behind the best-selling scent, Zoe says, “Fearless women are courageous and unapologetically bold. This scent is for all of the women who are beyond brave in all aspects of life, and never afraid to take risks.”
Fearless tells a story of womanhood, fierce, and unapologetic, with the most carnal perfumery note, the tuberose as the sail that pushes the scent forward. In its raw form, tuberose has a narcotic and tad sweet aroma, which plays nicely with coconut water, amber, and vanilla. The scent is sweet, but not your average gourmand perfume. There is nothing saccharine about this scent, as the fresh orange, cassis, and verbena notes are the scent’s gatekeepers, never allowing the heart and base notes to veer into the synthetic and overwhelming territory.
The only bold and intense vibe you get from Fearless is your attitude when wearing the fragrance.

Top notes are Verbena, Cassis, and Mandarin Orange;
Middle notes are Coconut and Tuberose;
Base notes are Amber, Cedar, and Vanilla.
Fearless By Rachel Zoe is an Eau de Parfum, with an average longevity of 4 to 6 hours.
“I love wearing Fearless everywhere, especially at home when I am by the fireplace, drinking wine,” Zoe says.
